Daiichi Sorimachi, LAc. is the founder of Seitai Shinpo, a system gleaned and developed from a practice spanning more than thirty years. He graduated from the Toyo Acupuncture College in 1971. He studied Sawada style of acupuncture and has trained under many renowned doctors and acupuncturists that include Dr. Hashimoto, Master Akabane and Master Ogura. His clinic is in Toyko, Japan.
Chieko Maekawa, Ph.D., D.Ac., L.Ac., Dipl.Ac. is the founder of the Seitai Shinpo Acpuncture Foundation. She studied at the New England School of Acupuncture in Boston, Massachusetts under Dr. Tinyao So for one year before transferring to Waseda Medical Arts College in Tokyo, Japan where she graduated with honors in 1985. During this time, she also apprenticed with Daiichi Sorimachi for 3 years while in school. She has practiced in Hawaii since 1987 in Kailua-Kona and has been teaching at the Traditional Chinese Medical College of Hawaii since 2002. She received a Ph.D. in 1991, and a Doctorate in Acupuncture in 2000, both from the University of Health Science in Honolulu, Hawaii.
